Sunburn Remedies

For typical sunburns, we recommend alternating topical treatments of Apple Cider Vinegar and Colloidal Silver. Colloidal Silver can be found in health food and herbal stores. Silver products are actually used by hospital burn centers, because silver has an astounding steroid like neutralizing effect upon burns. Aloe Vera is useful of course, but it cannot be found pure in regular retailers, and its results are not as rapid when used alone. It is worthwhile to purchase pure Aloe Vera gel while visiting a health food or herbal store. Of course, since Aloe Vera gel is another natural ingredient, it can be used safely in conjunction with the Apple Cider Vinegar and Colloidal Silver, although we recommend waiting upon full absorption before switching from one of these remedies to another. We have seen the incredible results of combining these remedies ourselves, in which sunburns that would have taken weeks to heal were gone overnight. The pain is often gone within an hour of using them. Results like this cannot be had with commercial products.

I tried organic cold pressed coconut oil on my sunburn and the moistenned skin felt better. I tried putting an aloe gel mixture on at night and woke up with dried out skin and in tons of pain. I rinsed off the aloe as best I could (in the middle of the night!) and reapplied my coconut oil and was immediately relieved. I have also read that the tannins in black tea help relieve pain, heal and prevents peeling. I made the mistake of believing that coconut oil can act as a natural sunblock ... but it helps heal in the aftermath. Your thoughts.

You can get actual aloe vera at Whole Foods, and probably other fruit stands. Shave, blend, apply!
I'll try the silver/ACV thing this summer. Thanks.
