Bypassing Bypass

We rarely plug health products, and in fact, I cannot remember a case in which we have, with the exception of our standard site link advertising. There are many reasons for this, including our journalistic credibility being placed at the risk of a 3rd party's future behavior, the possible impression of a conflict of interest, or other journalistic impropriety, and of course, if we are "selling products", then it could give the F.D.A. and F.T.C. the ammunition that they need to shut us up. Moreover, the overwhelming majority of health products are frauds. We turned away most of those who contacted us.
We have been literally searching for years, and now we have finally found another group that we can confidently stand behind, and proudly support. It is an organization that we approve of enough to stand behind with our honor and reputations. We do not do such things lightly, and this is the first time that we have ever given another organization our full backing. They are naturally good.
It is the Wellness Directory of Minnesota of which I write. It is also using the name International Wellness Directory. We recently featured the group's article, How the Rich Got Richer While the Sick Got Sicker, which was originally titled, Health Care for Dummies. While the article is a bit lengthy, is it well worth the effort to read, for it explains the fascinating history of how the United States got to its dire state in health care. Their site is full of great articles.
Does Aspirin Really Stop Heart Attacks?
Let us give you some facts we discovered from their site to give you an idea of the insight and quality of their work. It is known by the medical establishment, and by most people that taking an aspirin a day reduces the risk of heart attacks. It is believed that this is due to an aspirin's ability to thin blood. In actuality, aspirins reduce the risk of heart attacks because they contain magnesium, which works in tandem with the amino acid taurine to regulate pulse, and both are counteracted by a processed diet that is high in M.S.G. intake. Furthermore, while heart attacks may be reduced by aspirins, the number of aneurysms rises proportionally to make the overall death rate about the same. In other words, a serving of organic spinach would be significantly more safe and effective than an aspirin a day. Organic vegetables contain even more magnesium. In summary, heart attacks are not really caused by an aspirin deficiency: although the chemical companies would have us believe differently.
Bypassing Bypass
We particularly recommend their book, Bypassing Bypass. I have personally read it, and I could find nothing wrong with it, and believe me, I really tried. That book condenses much of the basic principals and findings of alternative medicine. The book features articles by such notable people as Dr. Matthias Rath, who was the partner of the Nobel Prize winning Dr. Linus Pauling (who found the cancer link to vitamin C deficiency). We do, however, recommend the attitude of 'buyer beware' concerning the book's advertisers, for we saw quite a few obvious frauds amongst them (ie. "energy healing" -- for pets no less).
